Direct Integration With Order Management Module?

ebs Product version: R12.1.3

My business has the scenario where:

• We will take inventory items and build a test rig
• Ship that test rig from order management to a supplier - but we retain ownership of the rig as they use it
• We want to create an asset in FA for this

I see several ways I can do this with customization but I was hoping there is out-of-the-box functionality I'm missing that enables this process.

I've checked OM implementation guide and FA user guides and found nothing. Nothing obvious turns up when I search MOS.

If anyone knows of any documentation on this, if it exists, I'd appreciate being pointed in the right direction. Or is this going to be entirely custom?
