Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. In Customer master, What is the business purpose of customer email,purpose and format ?Does it send mail automatically ?

in format there is an option - html mail along with attachment. does it have any functionality or just for informational purpose ?
