How to clone weblogic environment to new host

 I have a host that has an Oracle RDBMS home and Weblogic 10.3.6 with Forms and Reports 11, and Oracle HTTP server.

I am wanting to create what is a “sandpit” environment in order to trial some configuration changes related to security and patching. I would like to know if there is a relatively easy way to create a “like for like” on a different host. The file systems, databases, domain name, and weblogic servers would be the same. The only difference would be the host name.

I know how to do this for the database home, and the databases, but I’m not sure what’s needed for the weblogic, forms and reports and the http server. I was hoping that I could create at tar (this is a unix environment) of the weblogic software file structure, unpack on the target host and recursively search for config files that contain the old host name, before editing with the new name. I know that the inventory can easily be rebuilt, but I suspect the task is more involved than that. I also know that each of the datasources will
