Time Sync not working

After installing a new OL 7 or OL 8 system I often (essentially always) find that Time Sync is not working.

During installation I de-select all the default servers as they are all blocked by the firewall and indicated as not working. I then add the local time server which gets a green check mark.

After installation complete I get the following:

# timedatectl

Local time: Tue 2020-11-10 08:15:26 SAST

Universal time: Tue 2020-11-10 06:15:26 UTC

    RTC time: Tue 2020-11-10 06:15:26

    Time zone: Africa/Johannesburg (SAST, +0200)

   NTP enabled: yes

NTP synchronized: no

 RTC in local TZ: no

   DST active: n/a

Is there a trick I'm missing? What is the correct way to fix this to get NTP syncronized?

Howdy, Stranger!
