Moving Spacewalk to another server with newer OL version

Currently running Spacewalk 2.7 on OL 6.10. We''re seeing some issues with syncing between the systems and the Spacewalk server so I'm considering updating the Spacewalk to version 2.10. Because the release notes says that 2.10 runs only on OL 7 it appears that I'll have to upgrade both. As I already have quite a few systems already enrolled on the 2.7 system I would like to find a way to move those systems to the new 2.10/OL7 server. Has anyone done this? I can't find any documentation on this specific topic anywhere.
