Fulfillment Management and Promised Delivery Date (RSDJ)

Hello,

Would anyone help us understand Fulfillment Management and Promised Delivery Date relationship?


There is a code in Sales Order MBF (B4200311) that verifies if an order went through changes outside fulfillment, and it will reset the Fulfillment Status to 10-Entered, Unfulfillment Quantity = Ordered Quantity, Shipped Quantity = Zero, Fulfillment ID = 0.

The criteria verified is:

Shipping Branch changes (F4211.MCU)

Requested Date changes (F4211.DRQJ)

Promised Delivery Date changes (F4211.RSDJ)

Program ID = R4277704, in case order is forced as "re-selected" into fulfillment.

All of the above make sense, except Promised Delivery Date. Why is this a validation to begin with, if the solution does not consider this date for order scoring or allocation rules?
