Oracle Application Development Framework - database infrastructure

Hi,

We´re installing Oracle Application Development Framework, as a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware (12.2.1.4).

At first we thought this solution was MySQL compatible, based in the fact it appears as an option in the DB´s list during installation. But after a bunch of problems during install we did a new research. I found this doc - www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/fmw-122140-certmatrix-5763476.xlsx

So, it´s clear we can use MS SQL or Oracle. But the official link - docs.oracle.com/en/middleware/fusion-middleware/12.2.1.4/sysrs/index.html - tells me only about application´s infrasctructure needed and DB´s parameters. It doesnt tell me specifically about the DB´s architecture:
