Good Day,

As a business partner, I have a situation where I think that project mfg could be a solution for a CMO client.

The question I have is related to Production number in forecast vs sales Orders.

Some of the raw materials have a very long leadtime and are driven by forecast. Long before a SO is entered, If a WO is created with a production number based on forecast, can the SO carry the same production number as the forecast?

Do we need to cancel the forecast when the SO is entered, or the item planning fence rule (MPSP) can distinguish the demand is coming from forecast or sale order..
