Upgrade OS without upgrading DB

New to Oracle Engineered Systems and Grid infrastructure in general.  All of my Oracle experience  has been with stand alone machines / instances.  I am now tasked with upgrading an X7-2S Bare Metal running Oracle 11.2.0.4 from Linux 6.10 (18.5.0.0.0) to Linux 7 (19.8.0.0.0).  My question is, do I need to perform the steps to update the Oracle Home on these appliances?  I am NOT upgrading the DB, only the OS.
