Upgrading to version 19.9

in Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered ✓

We have 2 sets of ODAs X7 HA BM.

One is running version 18.7 and the other 12.2.

We want to upgrade/patch both ODAs.

  • Linux from V6 to 7
  • Grid Infrastructure from 12.2/18.7 to 19c
  • Patch (not upgrade) the databases 12.2 and 12.1 to the latest patch available.
  • Upgrade the other components (firmware, controller, ILOM, Oracle software, etc) to the latest.

Probably the biggest effort will be upgrade Linux from 6 to 7.

Can we upgrade the ODA versions mentioned above directly to the latest version 19.9 or we have to go to an intermediate version and after that to 19.9?
