How to monitor pressure on the database(RAC)

How to determine that by RAC DB needs to revisited for analyzing capacity and performance , we have thresholds that we setup in monitoring but often after threshold it leaves less room to analyze as it might be hitting the roof already .

is there any way we can predict the pattern early of how DB is growing and what would be its impact on the infrastructures
