In solaris 11.3 ldom guest: how long can the virtual disk instance list be? vdc.conf

in Oracle VM (OVM) (MOSC) Question

I have a guest ldom that has grown, using multiple disk devices, the /platform/sun4v/kernel/drv/vdc.conf file line "timeout-noretry-list" has grown quite long. How long can it get? OR How best to handle a growing list? Can it utilize escape characters ( '\ ' ) for line continuation?
