Is there a bug impacting the search function on View All learning for a specific user?

In using the search function for an individual in View All learning and Supplemental learning, Instead of getting a list of users with the same name or an error saying multiple users. The system returns all users in the system. If the user is a specific named user the system will return that person, however if the next user has multiple returns the system returns back to the previous individual learner on the search field.

Using the search glass is our current work around, however we are asking if this is a bug and will it be fixed in an upcoming release or do we need to open an SR?
