upload smart list value on a hierarchy driven smart list

Hello,

Usually upload of smart list values on a smart list account is performed via numeric values, which fits with the smart list ID member.

But when we use the hierarchy driven smart lists, we are not in control of the Smart list ID anymore, therefore how can we load smart list values in this case? by submitting the smart list name?
