Shipment Number (SHPN) blanked out - no backorder

I've run into an issue with the shipment number on an order. After running the R42520, a pick number was assigned, but then the shipment number was blanked out. Although the line was split, there was not backorder quantity at the time.

Is there any other scenario where the shipment number would be blanked out?
