Oracle Key Vault 18.6 is Now Available

Oracle Key Vault (OKV) in the only enterprise-grade key management solution for your Oracle Database estate, whether on-premises or for hybrid cloud. OKV 18.1 introduced a multi-master cluster architecture supporting up to 16 geographically distributed OKV nodes for continuous key availability. We are now pleased to announce the release of OKV 18.6, adding important security improvements:

Introducing Separation of Duties between Endpoint and Oracle Key Vault Administrators

In earlier Oracle Key Vault releases, when the RESTful services were used to automatically onboard databases in OKV, all endpoints and virtual wallets in OKV were created by one user who needed to possess the System Administrator and Key Administrator privileges. Starting with Oracle Key Vault 18.6, the targeted privileges "Manage Endpoint" and "Manage Endpoint Group" allow non-administrative users to create and own individual endpoints that belong for example to specific LOBs, without requiring powerful OKV administrator privileges.
