Sick Time Rollover Deduction

Is there a way to deduct sick time from an accrual DBA without using a pay type? I set up two accrual DBA's- one to accrual sick time and another to deduct sick time used that is calculated by a pay type. I set the second accrual up as a part of the rollover setup for the sick time accrual. When I roll the DBA's over for the year, the sick time used accrual doesn't deduct from the sick time DBA.
