Transit Days and Work Day Calendar

We don't currently use transit days in our route set up. I have a project where I want to start working with transit days to better plan our orders/deliveries. I set up a route for one of our carriers and then set up the customer to point to the zone so that it would use that route. The route has 3 transit days.

I entered an order with a requested date on Monday 12/21/20. It put the delivery date on 12/21 as expected but it put the pick date on Friday 12/18. The work day calendar for the branch plant has the weekend as non-working days so I expected it to ignore those days. I set up a calendar for Carrier but got the same result. I also added an order with a requested date of 12/24 which is a holiday on the calendar. When it added the order, it set the delivery date on 12/24.
