Lots & sub-lots that are really containers...

Hi

odd one here that I’m hoping someone has come across before.

Standard inventory - no WMS no MSCA.

Items are Lot Controlled, however on the legacy system the lots have an attribute called Container. Where the unit quantity is bundled into different container sizes, so container is not the base UOM.

So on hand balance would show

ITEM - LOT - CONTAINER - SUB - QTY

Itemx - ABC - null - FG - 20

Itemx - ABC - 01 - FG - 4

Itemx - ABC - 02 - FG - 6

Which means that yes they have the same lot on hand but logically separated into 1 bulk of 20, and 2 smaller containers of 4 & 6, each identified with a physical label of 01 and 02.

Howdy, Stranger!
