Side Navigation Menu - Doesnt stay expanded

Hi All

I have a Navigation Menu set up with a basic hierarchical list. When I click on a parent to open and then click on the child to open a new form, when the form renders and the menu refreshes all children collapse back in to parent. Is there a setting to keep the menu hierarchy open on selection ?

Config as below

Position : side
list template : Side Navigation Menu
Template Options : Use Template Defaults is checked
Collapsed by Default is unchecked
Collapse Mode : Hidden
Style : Classic
