Pre-check for 19.9 fails with patch not found

We recently installed an ODA X8-2S with the 19.8 release and ran into a problem while trying to patch the ODA to 19.9. I did some manual cleanup of the /opt filesystem since it wasn't enough space for the 19.9 patch. I unintentionally deleted a file that pre-patch thinks is necessary and I don't know how to get it back without re-imaging the whole appliance. The file that is missing is /opt/oracle/oak/pkgrepos/orapkgs/clones/grid19.tar.gz. I tried unzipping the two large zip files for 19.8 (oda-sm-19.8.0.0.0-200718-server1of2.zip) and (oda-sm-19.8.0.0.0-200718-server2of2.zip) in search of grid19.tar.gz but cannot find it anyone. Any ideas?
