Can JDE E1 integrate with manufacturing optimizer software?

Can E1 be integrated with a manufacturing optimizer via web service call? We are specifically looking at whether Ardis Optimizer could be integrated, but we haven't purchased an optimizer yet and are open to other possibilities. In sales order entry, a user would select an item that will be the parent item for a cut job. The type of material and dimensions would be supplied. The web service call would pass this information to the optimizer and receive back the item(s) to select from inventory to get the best yield.
