PeopleSoft HR Partial Position Management and Supervisor ID

Hello!

We are implementing Partial Position Management and Supervisor ID for a client. My client is only creating Positions for Line Managers (Managers with Direct Reports). There will be a population of employees that will not be in a position. My question is for employees that are not in a Position and report to a manager that is in a Position, on the employee's Job Data - Work Location page can the employee's supervisor be entered in the "Reports To" field instead of in Supervisor ID? I did this data entry in a demo environment and the Job Data record did
