Component Pick Release R12

We recently upgraded Oracle EBS from 11.5.10 to 12.2.9. We are projects manufacturing organization. In 11i we had a customized INV_AUTODETAIL package that allowed us to pick discrete job components per business requirement (from stock allocated to discrete job project or from common inventory project).

In R12, depending on Allow Cross Project Issues flag on PJM Org parameters, if checked we pick from ANY project with available inventory or flag unchecked we pick ONLY from project/task designated to discrete job.

Is INV_AUODETAIL api used in R12.2.9?

Is there any way to customize pick release to allocate from BOTH discrete job project AND single common project but no other project?
