Is HFM database encrypted or not?

We received a questions from customer's auditor: "Can a server administrator with read access to the MS SQL Database(s) see the actual Hyperion HFM data? Is the HFM application for example encrypting the data before its put to the database, or is the database “plaintext” so that a person with access to database has in fact access to the information also.

Can IT admins with SQL server access potentially see the financial data stored in the HFM that is not yet public."

HFM version is 11.1.2.4.207 using MS SQL Server as database. SSL is not enabled.
