EBS US End of Year Phase 3 - affect 2020 W2 reporting?

Will the 2020 End of Year Phase 3 scheduled for release January 15th impact 2020 W2 reporting?  Since 1/15 falls on a Friday, and Monday 1/18 is a holiday, this gives us very little time to test and apply the patch to meet the IRS W2 reporting deadline this year. If the patch isn't needed to process the W2s, we would like to get started prior to the phase 3 patch. Any details about the phase 3 patch that you can provide will be helpful.
