W-4 Claim Dependents Not Taking Any Withholdings on Check
We recently installed the latest Tax Updates released by Oracle and ran our first Payroll of the new year. Our Payroll Manager has been fielding calls about checks not taking out withholdings. Her message to me is below:
"We have noticed when employees submit their W-4 and have amounts in Step 3 “Claim Dependents” the system doesn’t seem to take any withholdings. I want to be sure that we are doing the correct entry in PeopleSoft. Are we supposed to enter the total amount if we are doing biweekly payroll?
Has anyone else experienced this?
