Can the certain field be hidden from query for certain user?

I have a requirement where compensation and SSN fields be hidden for some users using PeopleSoft HRMS either page or using query. For e.g. when specific user use PS_JOB table he may not be able to select COMPENSATION field or when he chose PS_PERS_NID he shouldn't be able to select NATIONAL_ID field but should have access to entire record. Any assistance in this matter is appreciated.
