Which version of Oracle Direct Client to install.

We have a server which is running 11.2.0.1 I know it is old, but we will be upgrading the database version in the future. My question is which version of the Oracle Direct Client should I install on another server. I downloaded versions 19.3, 19.3-Gold, 18, and 12.2. Once installed, I would like to doing it once without having to reinstall the client again in the future. In this situation, I can not install the Instant Client.

Will Direct Client 19.3 still be able to communicate with a 11.2.0.1 database?

Can Direct Client 12.2 still communicate with a future Oracle database running version19?
