set SERVER = SHARED option with dataguard

I use Oracle Database 12c Enterprise Edition Release 12.1.0.2.0 configured with dataguard. I have primary and a standby node. An application uses this database, which creates a lots of connection.

I want to optimize the connection handling using the above setting, but I did not find how to set it in this environment.
