How to restrict users from editing supplier data based on Vendor Type Code?

Hi - We have a use case, where the vendor master data is maintained on a 3rd party with uni-directional integration to Oracle. Currently, users have access to edit all supplier types and if there are any issues with the integration or any missing data they directly edit the supplier record on Oracle rather than on the source system. This leads to data inconsistencies. We are looking to restrict the users from editing certain supplier types on Oracle like 'Supplier', '1099 Supplier' and at the same time allow access to edit records for intercompany and employee as supplier records.
