Notifications to HR / Benefit Admin when employee updates life events

Are there no notification that can be set for the HR / Benefit Admin when an employee updates life events or enrolls to a benefit plan ? Is the Notifications and Communications functionality not available? Is there are an alternative way to set alerts using reports may be?
