Advance Payment Deferred Revenue

for Contract Project type, the customer pays advance payment for the entire amount of contract value, 

Please advise which distribution rule i have to use to create Deferred revenue ?

for Contract Project whether i can use Event/Event distribution rule? , whether i have to enter the Pre approved Timecards batch & distribute it before creating deferred revenue? 

suggest which Distribution rule i should use?

We need to bill the client for an advance payment. we cant recognize the revenue now until the service is provided

for Deferred revenue whether Event Type would be manual? 

or Event type would automatic to create automatic deferred revenue ?
