Inventory Transactions Removing Installed Items from Unit Configurations

Hi,

We are currently using CMRO and are on 12.2.5. When a miscellaneous receipt transaction is performed on an item serial that is currently fitted to a unit configuration (serial number fitted is incorrect) and after the Interface Install base Lines concurrent request has run, the item is removed from the configuration resulting in a 'hole' in the configuration that maintenance personnel have no idea why it occurred.

I believe that this is a real problem in the system as an inventory transaction should not have the ability to remove items from a unit configuration, or at least warn the user that this item is currently fitted to a unit configuration before the transaction is completed. Has anyone come across this issue before and is there any options to stop this issue from occurring before I raise an SR.

Howdy, Stranger!
