Pick List Product Group by Hierarchy

in Store Inventory Management (MOSC) Question

If I create a Pick List Product Group in SIM using Merchandise Hierarchy, do any new items created in that hierarchy automatically get added to the product group? Or would that need to be a manual step in SIM?
