Large amount accumulated in cost variance account

Hi, 


We have one inventory organization with negative inventory balances allowed. The first transactions are sales order issue transactions where no on hand quantities available which caused the whole balances accumulated on cost variance account. 


What should we do to adjust the cost variance account and inventory account? Is it good idea to create manual journal entries to make such adjustments?
