'Checkpoint not complete' in alert log

Hello,

Current DB spec:

HP DL380 Gen9

CentOS 7

Oracle Database 11g Standard Edition 11.2.0.1.0-64bit


One of my clients is having issue every 8:30AM to 8:40AM, the ERP is hanging up. The application maintainer can't find the issue and the hardware/os logs show no issue. CPU/RAM/DISK IO/NEWORK all resources show OK.

I'm not a DB admin, but had a chance to look at the issue via PL/SQL. One thing I found was that the log switch is very frequent.

  1. alert log shows 'Checkpoint not complete' multiple times
  2. v$loghistory shows every 2 or 3 seconds, there are sequence#. Then, between 8:22-8:29AM, there are no log switches. (Am I looking at it correctly? Please see the screenshot)
