Is it recommended to create a Database without the ODA commands?

It is recommended to create a database without the ODA commands. I have a version of ODA 19.8 with a HA x8-2 server on BareMetal

I don't see any documentation that indicates that it can't be done, but is it recommended?

I see that the database that was created with dbca is not recognized by the ODA console, or by the storage. And the odacli and odaadmcli commands not recognize it
