Any solutions for Windows security patches conflicting with Hyperion Interactive Reptg / BRIO?

We are using 11.1.2.2 and in the process of upgrading but our users lean heavily on IR for current reporting needs. We noticed that after the Windows patch (Dec 2020) was applied, users received an "offline" message when attempting to run queries. After we uninstalled the patch on the user workstations, IR connected and worked. Uninstalling is a temp fix and we understand that we can't keep doing that each month since the patches are cumulative. Has anyone else encountered this issue?
