How do you update an existing Bind?

The Update/Display button on the Bind Definition page is grayed out even with security set to Add & Update/Display. We are testing an upgrade and for some reason the WARRANTY bind has gone from Yes/No to Sting. It's set up that way all the way back to our demo environment.
