DD item CNTCHG limitation and impact of modifying the value

Hi All,

There is a DD item CNTCHG which determines the year in all dates in JDE.

In our system in production , the default value of this DD item is set as 40 (please see attached image)

So now whenever any dates are being entered in JDE with year greater than 2040 , it is truncating the date incorrectly.

For example , if we put any date as 01/01/41 , system is setting this date as 01/01/1941 instead of 01/01/2041.

We were able to identify this limitation because of an issue logged by business related to lot expiration date.

Please help us to understand the impact on making any changes in the default value of this DD item. We expect JDE system to take the future dates correctly i.e. 01/01/41 as 01/01/2041 and not 01/01/1941.
