Inactivating mandatory learning

We have used the mandatory learning functionality to enroll 6 learner groups, making up our entire workforce. It was a one time deal, and now I need to inactivate mandatory learning. What is the best way to do this? There are still learners enrolled/in progress, so I don't want to do anything that will drop them from the class. We will be keeping the class active and adding it to our new hire auto enroll process.
