Zpool scrub interval. How is 30 days worked out?

We have a number of systems where we have seen the next scrub kick off after 29 days.

I know that the OS makes decisions based on the "other things" happening, but would like more details on how it does that, when 30 days counts from (start of last scrub or end of last scrub?).

I have an SR open (3-25117414531), but being told to just re-read the docs was not the answer I wanted.

Any ZFS engineers on here able to give me more info please?
