PeopleSoft Position Management Dates Fluid

In Manage Positions there are 3 dates: Effective Date, Action Date and Status Date. I know what the Effective Date and how the Effective Date is used in HR transactions. How are the Action Date and Status Date supposed to be used in Position? What is the definition for these dates? I have searched PBooks and have not found a definition. My client is implementing Positions in Fluid. Thanks
