ZFS NAS layout

Looking for experienced advice or Oracle recommendations on how to layout the ZFS NAS out for an Oracle Production Database and its application (front end, Oracle Forms to be specific).

The Transactional Database resides in one VM, and the application resides in a separate VM. Both VMs are using the ZFS appliance.

How should these filesystems be laid out?  

1. As 1 or 2 Data pools?

2. As 1 or 2 Projects?

3. Should the OS, App Binaries, DATA, RECOVERY, etc., be further divided at the filesystem level or higher? 

4. On the ZFS, is there any issue with Disk Contention?

5. Anything else to be aware of or consider?
