How can I manufacture, ship and invoice a product on an inactive customer?

We have a customer that places many orders. We would like to complete the open sales orders and avoid new entry of sales orders.

Some of these orders will pull from inventory and some will have manufactured parts. We then use advanced transportation to ship. Invoicing will follow.

Can I inactivate the customer from just entering new sales orders while the old ones complete?
