401k and PreTax deductions for secondary assignment in US
We have a business requirement for US payroll, where an employee will get paid partly through primary assignment and partly through secondary assignment (due to the employee working different jobs having different rates).
Now we have all the Pre-Tax and 401k deduction elements attached to the employee's primary assignment.
So, how does the 401k deduction take place for the secondary assignment as the 401k elements are only attached to primary assignment ?
If there is a scenario where the earnings in primary assignment is not enough to deduct the PreTax deductions ( Medical, Dental, etc.) how does that get adjusted in the secondary assignment?
