Create Accounting Error in CHRM. Can't use Custom source

We defined a custom source to derive one of the GL segments from Item configuration as we didn't find any standard source that we can use to do that. After we completed the SLA configurations in ChRM and ran Create Accounting (of course after Funds Accrual Engine and all), the Accounting job ran part of Create Accounting failed with the error:

An internal error has occurred in the program XLA_00682_AAD_C_011127_PKG.AcctDerRule_9. ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character to number conversion error.
