Installing Hyperion 11.1.2.4.000 - Does Java need to be installed separately?

Hello,

I am installing 11.1.2.400 and never saw the need to install Java as I always thought that the Hyperion Installation would handle this.

Doing a bit of research, I see several instances where users manually install Java prior to installation Hyperion. Should Java be installed prior?
