Why would OBP not recognize its own NICS on a replaced T3-1 System board?

We had a T3-1 server system board replaced. I have updated the firmware to the latest 4.34.6.c

Under the ILOM, I see the GBE0 and GBE1 devices active. I see NET0, NET1,NET2,NET3 as well listed on the MB tree.

Under OBP I do a show-devs, no network devices show up.

I have tried to do a probe-pci, and a reset of default NVRAM parameters to no avail. Of course the OS is

solaris 10 64 bit with kernel 150400-59

Has someone, somehow, remove the network drivers files from the system board? is that even possible?
